From playing buggy, early access Dirt: Rally, I can tell how terrifying it is when the co-driver is off on his notes. There were some Monaco stages where the co-driver would tell you about the turn, while you were on the turn.

I hate being off note, but that jump killed my light. I had to call the next corner from what I remembered before the lights went out, then had to catch up when I got it working again. I also had to hold the light with my right hand for the rest of the stage.
